Raptor Hunt Battle Map

Here is a fun battle map designed around a tall-grass encounter. I used the dark green grass in the middle as tall grass 5ft high that was so thick it was difficult terrain. Players and creatures had advantage when trying to hide in this grass. This was a fun encounter as I had a squad of raptors drive the players into the grass and ambush them there.

It's worth noting I didn't make the tall grass difficult terrain for the raptors as I figured they purposely use this as a hunting ground. They crouch and run through the grass pounce their prey and if unable to kill the run into the grass again.

There were a number of "safe spots" around the map. The players could hide in perimeter clearings or atop large rocks and ruins. I flavored the structure here as a completely ruined mill which only the base was left. The top of the base stands 5ft tall also and provides the perfect spot for the party to band together and hold off a relentless assault of hungry raptors jumping and attacking from all sides.
